Free Live Music Returns to Canyon Amphitheater, Starting Sept. 19
Legends on the Lawn brings four free concerts to 8802 Boynton Beach Blvd this fall and winter. Bring a chair, a blanket and a cooler.

The best recurring free night out in west Boynton is back. Legends on the Lawn, the county's live music series at Canyon Amphitheater, runs a four-date fall and winter schedule with music starting at 7 p.m. each night. Admission is free.
**The lineup**
- Sept. 19 — The MTVJ's (80s hits) - Oct. 17 — Mojito Latin Band (Latin music) - Nov. 21 — The Viva Band (classic pop and rock) - Dec. 19 — Soundsations (70s disco)
The amphitheater sits at 8802 Boynton Beach Blvd., which puts it within a short drive of most of the communities along Boynton Beach Boulevard and Lyons Road. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, and the crowd skews multi-generational — grandparents in the back with folding chairs, kids running the grass down front.
One thing worth knowing before you go: this is an outdoor venue in South Florida in the rainy season. If severe weather moves in, concert staff give an evacuation notice and you head to your vehicle or an area of refuge; if the sky clears, they let people back in. County parks posts same-night updates on its social accounts, so check before you pack the car on a stormy September evening.
Plan to arrive around 6:30 for a good spot on the lawn. Parking is on site and free.
