Looking at a Choice School? Palm Beach County's Showcase Brings 330+ Programs to One Night

Palm Beach County families exploring school choice options have a single stop to make this fall. The district's Showcase of Schools runs Tuesday, October 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Shiner Law Group Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds, 9067 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach. Parking and entry are both free.

The event brings together more than 125 elementary, middle, and high schools offering choice and in-house programs, alongside district representatives and community organizations. Rather than reading through brochures, families can walk booth to booth talking directly with school administrators and current students about what classroom life is actually like at each program. In total, the district says more than 330 specialized programs are represented, spanning Pre-K through 12th grade in fields like healthcare, public safety, skilled trades, and the creative arts.

The timing lines up with the district's application calendar. Starting October 8, just two days after the showcase, families can submit an application to any choice program with no restrictions. The deadline to apply for all schools and programs follows on Friday, December 4.

Out-of-county residents are welcome to attend and apply for Palm Beach County choice programs as well. More information on application dates is available at myPBchoiceapp.com.
