First Friday @ 5 Goes Back to School September 4

Boynton Beach's First Friday @ 5 series kicks off the school year with a Back to School Bash edition on Friday, September 4, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Amphitheater, 120 E. Ocean Ave.

The evening keeps the series' usual format — artisan market, live music, food trucks, and kids' activities — while adding back-to-school programming. A Kids Entrepreneurship Market will feature more than 20 young vendors through a partnership with Kids Markets, and the city's Parks & Recreation Department is bringing a lineup of activity stations, including a basketball trailer from Hester Center, a dunk tank staffed by lifeguards and Denson Pool, a pop-up pickleball court from the Ezell Hester Community Center Tennis Center, the Digital Vibes Bus, and chair yoga and chair exercises hosted by the Senior Center.

Food options include Carvel Ice Cream Truck, The Picnic Trendy, That's Amore Pizza, Potions & Motions, Taste of Africa, Bisons Eatery, Boba Beach Club, and Palm Pop Co. Live music comes from Jam X Band, with additional entertainment from In the Mix.

The event is free and open to the public.
